Teams Meeting Add-in Missing in Outlook (New Teams)
Restore the missing Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook after switching to the new Microsoft Teams experience โ fixed by clearing the Teams cache.

This issue is particularly common after switching to the new Microsoft Teams experience. It's usually caused by corrupted cache files that prevent the Teams add-in from registering with Outlook. The fix takes just a few minutes.
Close Outlook and Teams
Ensure both applications are completely closed before proceeding. Check Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) to confirm neither is still running in the background.
Navigate to the Teams cache directory
Open File Explorer and paste the following path into the address bar, replacing %userprofile% with your Windows username if it doesn't resolve automatically:
%userprofile%\appdata\local\Packages\MSTeams_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Microsoft\MSTeams
Delete the cache files
Select all files inside the folder (Ctrl + A) and delete them โ or move them to a backup location if you'd prefer to keep a copy.
Relaunch Outlook and Teams
Open Outlook first and check whether the Teams Meeting add-in has reappeared in the calendar ribbon. Then launch Microsoft Teams and sign in โ this ensures Teams rebuilds the cache correctly and registers the add-in.
Add-in restored
The Teams Meeting button should now appear in Outlook's calendar and new meeting ribbon, allowing you to schedule Teams meetings directly from Outlook.
Add-in still missing?
If the issue persists after clearing the cache, it may be related to Outlook add-in policies or an older Teams installation. Submit a support ticket and we'll investigate.
