Blackwood IT is an HP and Dell partner and primarily supplies HP and Dell business-grade PCs, laptops and servers. For networking equipment, Blackwood IT supplies and manages WatchGuard firewalls and Ubiquiti UniFi switches and Wi-Fi access points. All equipment is specified as business-grade rather than consumer products.

How does Blackwood IT configure hardware before delivery? +

Before delivery, every device is built and configured to the business's standards — joined to Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD), enrolled in Microsoft Intune for device management, Microsoft Defender applied, security policies configured, and all Windows updates applied. The device is ready to use on arrival rather than handed over in a box.

What is included in hardware support from Blackwood IT? +

Blackwood IT includes parts and labour for fault diagnosis and repair of supported equipment. If something goes wrong, the business contacts Blackwood IT — not the manufacturer or warranty service. The only exception is equipment that is beyond economical repair, in which case Blackwood IT will advise on replacement.
